All-Star Game in STL

Welcome to Busch Stadium and the All-Star Game!
John and I attended the MLB All-Star game last night. The weather was perfect... cloudy and 80*. Rain was lingering but never came. Game time was at 7:00 pm and we were there at 3:00 pm, YES, 3:00 pm. We just couldn't miss the festivities! We finally got in the stadium around 5:00 after some how making our way to the front of the line and getting through security really fast. After enjoying hot dogs and brats, the time had come. Game time. The beginning hoop-la was great with honoring community service leaders, and President Obama throwing the first pitch. The game, well, it was a little BORING. John had warned me. It's different than watching your home town team play. You don't cheer for all the players, plays, etc. We ended our night around 10:30. It was a long day, but worth it. We may never experience another All-Star game in person again and probably never again in STL in our life time. The last All-Star game in STL was 43 years ago. John's grandpa was there (he was the traveling secretary for the Cards) and he was there in spirit last night by John wearing his 1943 World Champ ring.

Albert Pujols tipping his hat to the fans. Loudest cheers of the night!
The National Anthem sang by Sheryl Crow
President Obama throwing the 1st pitch.
John and me after a long day.
John had to entertain clients for a few innings of the game. I ran into Kate and luckily she had a seat open next to her. Thanks Kate for taking me in and thank goodness the game didn't go into extra innings!

While we were in baseball heaven, Cooper was in Bummy heaven. They played and he crashed hard. He was sleeping so peacefully when we got home and so was Bummy! Thanks for watching over him!
