The Annual Rat Dinner was this past weekend. Rat Dinner, you ask? The "Rats" are John's mom's 3 friends who all lived on the same street, small town, and raised their kids together. 4 Moms (now grandmas) = Rat Pack. The kids all grew up friends and stayed friends! The boys are known as the Rat boys, the girls are known as the mice and the grandchildren are the rugrats. Yes, all true!! All fun!
The 1st weekend of December the Rats come shopping in St. Louis for Christmas. This is a LONG tradition. We all get together and have dinner one of those nights. This year John and I decided we would host dinner at our house. It was so fun to actually have conversations and let the kids play. Usually we go out to eat, but usually someone is not happy, so at least one parent or grandmother doesn't get to eat or visit with others. So, a new tradition has begun!
